One step up to ringing area from nave..

Accessibility to Church.
1) Several steps from kerbside upto pavement level at north-east gate, then one shallow step through narrow gateway.
2) “Wheelchair access friendlier route. ”  Leveller approach from road to north-west gate, then one shallow step through wider gateway.
From Church gates, both upwardly sloping paths converge at north porch door,followed by 2 steps down into nave. (north-east approach to  the porch,  is the steeper of the two paths).

Observations.
A heavy ring of five.
6th heaviest conventionally rung five in the country. Treble is  9¼ cwt.

Weekly practices on a  Monday, from 8.00pm. to 9.00pm. but please get in touch before travelling.

Sunday service ringing.

The Earlier Bells.
In 1552, records show 4 bells. Thomas North indicates that in 1878 there were 5 bells , all cast by Hugh II Watts.
(further research is required).
