South Leicestershire county border village. Closeby, the River Welland forms a boundary with Northamptonshire.

A dis-used railway track & bridge to the east of Theddingworth village, on the former Rugby to Market Harborough line were the settings of a film, “Robbery” released in 1967, starring Stanley Baker & other actors.The rusting tracks of the closed line (6/6/1966) had to be cleaned, polished & eye witness accounts recalls of also painting them silver to replicate an open line.

  • To dis-engage clock bell hammer, pull & hook down  control cable located on north wall of tower.

  • Level path from Main Street to north entrance, then one step down into Church.

Practice night usually on the 4th Thursday of each month.

Please be aware of entrance drives & pathways leading to houses close to Church.

The Earlier Bells.
  • Upto 1873, records show 4 bells.
  • A new tenor bell was added by Taylor & Co. being replaced in 1903 by the present bell cast by Mears & Stainbank.
